    GENERAL FUNCTION


    As part of the HR Operations Team, the Specialist-Payroll function processes payroll in a high volume Multi EIN and Multi-State environment for North America operations.

    The processing of payroll includes auditing, issue resolution and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely payrolls.

    Acts as front line support for incoming inquiries related to associates' pay and provides exceptional customer service and problem resolution.

    Maintains a strict confidentiality of information at all times.


    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsible for processing, balancing, and transmitting payrolls to and from ADP payroll to ensure completeness of the payroll process forweekly, bi-weekly and monthly disbursement of multi-state and multi-country (US & Canada) payroll for 40,000 employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
    Processing that includes, but not limited to, new hires, STD, wage assignments, relocation, espatriate compensation, additional pays, bonus and commissions, direct deposit and paycards, and terminations final pay
    Ensure automated timekeeping hours file is processed and balanced
    Calculates and creates out of sequence pay entries for corrections
    Ensure processing of tax and GL processes for accurate reporting to ADP and Accounting and troubleshoots errors for resolution
    Frequently interacts with various departments
    Assist with various payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits
    Creates, tracks and works to resolve service requests with 3rd party payroll provider
    Support direct training needs for incoming payroll staff
    Identifies critical pay incoming tickets to determine need for On Demand paycards/checks and processes emergency pays.
    Addresses incoming inquiries from tickets system, internal employees, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies and escalates internally
    Stays informed of all payroll and HR policies and procedures
    Adheres to applicable state, local and federal laws, rules, and regulations
    Follow prescribed procedures and workflow
    Run employee pay detail reports as needed for HR, Legal, Compliance requests
    Provide excellent customer service to employees, coworkers
    General clerical duties for review of incoming mail related to payroll


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required
    3+ years Payroll experience required
    Previous experience with reporting, data analysis or payroll reconciliations
    Solid understanding of payroll effects to payroll tax and accounting
    Ability to create and modify reports using Globalview reports
    Multi-state payroll processing experience in a fast paced/large volume environment
    Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word at advanced level
    Self-motivated, resourceful, takes initiative, analytical, with strong attention to detail
    Trustworthiness with confidential information
    Positive attitude and a team player
    Willingness to accept and drive change

    Must be confident with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes and understanding others through strong active listening skills.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    5+ years Payroll experience preferred, ideally utilizing ADP's GlobalView system.
    American Payroll Association (APA) CPP or FPC certification
    Canadian payroll experience
    Wage garnishment processing MUST HAVE ADP GLOBALVIEW PAYROLL


    Note:
    Work hours: 9-5 PM

    Candidates with adp globalview / garnishments and canada payroll must be able to work onsite 5 days a week and all candidates must have adp globalview payroll experience
