- Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines, engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, and coaching and training.
- Collaborates with the plant leadership team to ensure Annual Business Plan goals and other KPIs are achieving targets and develops and implements action plans to correct below-target performance measures by actively participating in Meetings, Management Reviews, and Audits
- Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for the execution of maintenance work.
- Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
- Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
- Other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or facility management preferred.
- Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Possess a strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC Networking, Hydraulics, Electrical
- Advanced skill level in project management
- Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Technical knowledge of automated production machine equipment and maintenance required.
- Must be able to work from blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to use common precision measurement gages, multimeters, and basic machine shop equipment.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours
- Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
- Must be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment/tools.
- Must be able to work in an office setting, and spend partial working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
- Must complete 24/40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection
- Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any manufacturing area.
