- Provides ambulatory nursing care to patients with acute and chronic healthcare needs, including responding to triages as appropriate.
- Responds to medical emergencies such as "medical urgencies" and nursing alerts as appropriate. No more than 2 documented incidents per performance plan.

Summary
This position mainly supports the Homer VA Clinic in Homer, AK.
The Licensed Practical Nurse works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model (i.e., patient aligned care team). The incumbent is primarily responsible for patient and clinic flow, efficiency of the clinic, customer service, and teamwork.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of existing pay, higher or unique qualifications, or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
