Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing accounting department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting and could go permanent for the right match.

salary: $21 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to verify accuracy of billing and pricing
Obtain necessary approvals and coding for invoices prior to processing payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Monitor accounts payable aging report and follow up on outstanding balances as needed
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files, including W-9 forms and certificates of insurance
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
Assist with audits and provide support as needed to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
