    Job Description:

    Position Summary

    Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Healthcare Technology team in New York.

    The Healthcare Technology team within the Private Equity Advisory Group is a rapidly growing and critically important strategic initiative for Guggenheim Securities. Associates will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing advisory services to private equity firms and middle market corporate clients with a strong emphasis on sell-side advisory engagements.

    Our Associates play an integral role in evolving and enhancing our client relationships and are active participants throughout the life of a transaction and beyond. Our Associates benefit tremendously from the experience and partnership they have with our Senior Managing Directors, Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and Analysts.

    We will provide best-in-class Investment Banking training—formal and hands-on—as you continue to develop your professional toolkit: M&A process management, business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft-selling and presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more. We believe Associate development is critical to our strategy, and this role is seen as a career-track position.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory transactions
    • Perform financial analyses to support advisory transactions and highlight key takeaways
    • Carefully review and provide guidance to Analyst teammates
    • Develop working knowledge of multiple client sectors, monitor key industry drivers and assemble insights to support and enhance advisory services and new business development initiatives
    • Lead diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
    • Lead development of relevant marketing memoranda, diligence exhibits and transaction artifacts
    • Anticipate potential deal challenges and elevate concerns through to team members in real time
    • Drive creation of strategic frameworks, tools and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm
    • Actively participate in client meetings and drafting sessions
    • Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficiently
    • Lean into client relationships through effective dialogue with client finance and accounting teams
    • Apply understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking
    • Conduct "on the job" training, providing continuous, constructive feedback with goal of improving quality of analyst and intern work product
    • Ensure all activity is compliant with Guggenheim Securities' applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures
    • Actively participate in recruiting and training activities

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
    • 5+ years of professional experience
    • 2+ years of prior investment banking or equivalent M&A experience
    • Sell-side advisory experience, including successful track record of closed M&A transactions
    • Financial modeling coursework, training, or experience
    • SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment

    Work Location

    • Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 4 days per week.

    Salary

    • Annual base salary between $175,000 and $225,000.
    • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
