    Our client in Sterling Heights, Michigan is in need of an


    ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

    SUMMARY
    The

    Manufacturing Engineer

    plans/executes programs within the manufacturing plant to ensure all customer and company targets are achieved.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
    Experience with Assembly Process development, creation of equipment and tooling specifications.
    Project follow-up experience including buy-off within a manufacturing facility.
    APQP experience, strong knowledge of DFA, Process Flow and PFMEA development.
    Knowledge/experience with Injection Molding and Assembly of Plastic components and modules


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsible to review customer SOR/SOW documents and provide detail of the specifications related to capital and tooling.
    Develop the process flow, manning and assembly equipment tooling/capital requirements utilizing best practices and lessons learned.

    Assist in the development of capital equipment and tooling cost estimates for corporate estimating utilizing historical data or if time permits using budgetary estimates from potential vendors.

    Develop initial line layout including line side material flow and provide required square footage to estimating team using AutoCAD.

    Work as part of cross functional team to complete design for assembly reviews/sign off and develop process definitions that meet contracted requirements for cost, quality and performance.

    Develop the RFQ specification as it relates to the program upon award from the customer and work with corporate purchasing to complete the vendor selection process for assembly or testing equipment and tooling.
