    What You'll Do:

    • Acquire and apply developing knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
    • Utilize actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
    • Enter data and tables, runs models, and generates reports.
    • May make adjustments and improvements to models, when appropriate.
    • Maintain proper price level, price structure, data availability and other requirements to achieve profitability and competitive goals.
    • Identify critical experience areas to monitor and suggest timely remedies to correct or prevent unfavorable trends.
    • Identify sources of gain and loss by product and assumption.
    • Resolve issues and identifies appropriate issues for escalation.
    • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

    HP Managing Agency, LLC is a managing general agency ("MGA") that manages, among other companies, Monarch National Insurance Company, a Florida property insurance carrier. As the MGA, we will manage all aspects of their daily operations from customer service, to underwriting, to claims. We are building a team of exceptional professionals to support the rebranding and relaunch in Florida.

    A Normal Day:

    As a dedicated Actuarial Analyst II, you will coordinate, prepare and perform actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength. Under minimal supervision, perform moderately complex work assignments and problem resolution. Your opinion matters You will work closely with leadership to design, enhance, and update processes and craft best practices.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Statistics
    • Minimum of 3+ years professional experience in Florida Property and Casualty insurance
    • Knowledge of reserving, pricing, ratemaking, and/or risk management
    • Experience with Florida personal lines, commercial lines, and reinsurance preferred
    • An understanding of insurance rates and regulatory requirements for supporting reserve levels
    • Experience in predictive modeling
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • PC skills, including experience in using software for producing presentations, spreadsheets, and project planning.
    • Ability to interact with all levels including executives and senior managers
    • Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical and statistical sampling skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skill
    • Dynamic/flexible demeanor with exceptional client service skills
    • Forward-thinking leader with a collaborative focus who can consult effectively with key constituents and become recognized as a valued resource
    • Must be self-motivated and possess a sense of urgency
    • Skilled in team building and team development
    • Ability to travel on occasion
    • Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional standards as outlined by the Firm.
