    Position Summary

    Summary:
    The Supply Chain Database Manager is responsible for the maintenance of product and supplier-related data in Lawson. The Manager understands data structure and the overall Lawson system architecture related to Supply Chain. He or she identifies and implements opportunities to improve the item master database and ensures contracted products are properly built and updated in the Lawson database. The Manager is also responsible for automation of requisition approval process functions

    * Standard Work Duties: Supply Chain Database Manager
    - Maintains the supply chain database by managing incoming requests for new item creation and proactively monitoring and controlling data quality in the Lawson item master catalog. Maintenance duties also include Ensuring timely inactivation of obsolete data, executing data cleansing and performing data validation for upgrades and projects. The manager also approves description fields, UOM, and category information and coordinates with the clinical teams to ensure proper interface into the clinical system databases.
    - Generates reports from the Supply Chain database using Lawson and Crystal Reports as necessary for utilization and financial information. Works with Information Systems to design reports to meet the needs of the department; review daily reports for accuracy.
    - Manages and creates supplier-related data in Lawson. Ensures compliance with all required supplier documentation including W-9s, W-8s and Independent Contractor Questionnaires. Works with Accounts Payable and Corporate Finance to collaborate on accurate vendor remittance data. Manages federal compliance by screening suppliers using federal databases to ensure suppliers are not subject to financial sanctions or are on the List of Excluded Individuals and Entities
    - Serves as the subject matter expert on the supply chain database and provides initial and on-going training to end-users and Supply Chain staff on the Lawson application, processes and database information.
    - Coordinates, tests and verifies all Lawson Supply Chain database upgrades and releases with IT department. Acts as super user of organization's Supply Chain database in conjunction with IT Support to test purchasing modules and external third party system interface capabilities. Acts as liaison between Supply Chain and hospital departments regarding Lawson database information, requisitioning and inventory processes.
    - Coordinates and performs scheduled annual physical inventories of assigned areas and works with the Supply Chain Management team to analyze outcomes and adjust inventory levels as appropriate.
    - Conducts routine audits to proactively identify data exception errors (price, unit of measure, catalog number, etc.) using department and GPO tools. Documents requested process changes and develops Supply Chain procedures for Lawson Supply Chain database related activities.
    - Assist end-user departments on perpetual inventory processes, analysis of product usage, reorder theories and inventory/par level item setup to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained for patient care.
    - Responsible for Supply Chain Lawson database month end financial close processes.
    - Partners with Supply Chain staff to ensure contracted products are properly built and updated in Lawson. Aligns vendor agreements to appropriate contract coverage (products) and purchasing channel (vendor) when changes are needed. Runs reports to help identify off contract spend opportunities to minimize procurement of non-contracted products.

    Other information:
    Experience Essential:
    - 5-7 years in Supply Chain or Inventory database management
    - Working knowledge of healthcare supply chain, POs, financial and non-financial healthcare measures

    Experience Preferred:
    - Experience in medical products or supply chain management processes

    Certifications Preferred:
    -CMRP (Certified Materials and Resource Professional)
