    Spencer Ogden is excited to announce an opportunity for a Project Civil Engineer / Senior Project Civil Engineer with a specialization in transportation-related civil design.

    Our dynamic engineering team is engaged in a wide array of projects that include but are not limited to, highway and local agency initiatives such as interchange design, roadway widening and rehabilitation, intersection enhancements, complete streets projects, downtown revitalization efforts, and the design of sidewalks, bicycle facilities, trails, parks, transit systems, and drainage and water quality solutions.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead and support various technical tasks and project deliverables, leveraging prior experience in transportation project elements such as intersections, roadway expansions, highway modifications, interchange design, and the development of bike trails and paths.

    Focus on transportation engineering designs, encompassing tasks from research and analysis to comprehensive engineering studies, and including street/highway design, transit and bicycle facility design, drainage and water quality systems, traffic management during construction, as well as signage and striping plans, and utility coordination.

    Engage with both sub-consultants and internal project teams to ensure seamless project coordination.
    Offer guidance and mentorship to emerging engineers within the team.


    Basic Qualifications:
    A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
    Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.

    A minimum of 3 years (or 8+ years for Senior level) of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, specifically within transportation.

    Proficiency in roadway design software and AutoCAD, alongside a thorough understanding of Caltrans, local agency, and AASHTO design standards, regulatory compliance, and agency coordination processes.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Advanced knowledge and experience with Civil 3D, Microstation, and OpenRoads.
