    Job Overview:

    Candidate must have good knowledge on the NPI/NPD process and HVAC testing experience.

    The Job responsibilities encompass 3 categories listed below:

    • Technical Development of HVAC equipment using engineering fundamentals such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics and mechanical analysis. Leading and contributing on the design of the following subsystems:

    Vapor compression refrigeration systems.

    Fans, motors, mechanical drives, and variable speed technologies.

    Indoor Air Quality solutions: filtration media, ventilation, UV lighting.

    Energy recovery systems: heat wheels, air-to air heat exchangers.

    Heating systems: gas furnaces, electric resistance heaters, hot water coils.

    Cabinetry/structural systems: leakage and pressure testing, accelerated life testing, seismic and wind loading.

    Unit controls design and validation: sequence of operation, control algorithms, & associated control devices.

    • Laboratory testing and validation of HVAC systems. Collaborate on cross functional teams to test our equipment in our state-of-the-art Technology Center. Gain hands on exposure to the operation and function of commercial HVAC equipment.
    • Provide technical leadership to bring design concepts to production solutions.

    Partner with CAD designers to execute product designs.

    Collaborate with advanced simulation teams to perform FEA and CFD analysis of design concepts

    Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to transform engineering designs into production equipment.

    Preferred Skill:

    • Minimum 4-year degree in engineering or related technical field.
    • 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Requires detailed knowledge of engineering, preferably in the HVAC industry.
    • PC skills including Microsoft office applications.
    • Basic skills with CAD applications, a plus.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
