    Position DetailsThe Regional Director of Engineering Projects plays a vital role in Tilsons Outside Plant Leadership team overseeing Tilsons OSP / Wireline projects.

    This position will be directly responsible for overseeing all engineering teams for our project buildouts across the region.

    The successful candidate will lead our engineering program and project managers to ensure on time delivery to our customers, and quality expectations are met or exceeded.

    This position reports to the VP of Engineering and collaborates with various department and construction managers, to provide a seamless project delivery to our clients.


    Responsibilities:


    This position oversees a team of engineering program and project managers and will be jointly accountable for the success of the project, and overall P&L with peer construction directors who jointly manage the execution and delivery.

    Development and implementation of overall project execution strategy for the engineering teams, and actively participate in pursuit of company strategic goals and initiatives.

    Overall accountability, leadership, and management of the engineering portion of projects, and prepare to meet growth goals of 30%-50% year over year.

    Hire, lead, coach and develop subordinate leaders and staff. Accountable for the organization of the team to support growth and customer delivery.

    Responsible for jointly developing staffing plans, project budgets and resource plans with project management staff, to support bids and business development activities.

    Accountable for delivering on the engineering plan, on time and within budget.
    Participate in the development of yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily project-based forecasts and queue management system.
    Monitor success against forecast. Adjust execution strategy and deploy solutions to ensure budgets and forecasts are met.
    Ensure any changes to forecasts and schedule prioritization are communicated timely.

    Support execution of any outsourcing strategy including quantifying the need, selecting, and onboarding vendors, oversee weekly work assignments, KPIs, and ramping plans.

    Maintain customer relationships to meet specific project and market needs.
    Provide point of escalation for internal and external stakeholders.
    Responsible for customer success, including reporting, on time delivery and overall financial performance for all projects and teams.

    Tracking of KPIs for each team including reporting metrics and framework for resolution of identified challenges and support scalable operations.

    Work with peers and senior management to ensure development and implementation of processes and tools to meet and track yearly and long-term goals.

    Ensure efficient labor utilization within the organization and through cross practice resource sharing.
    Acts as a driver for innovation of both engineering best practices.
    Enhance, develop, and enforce policies and procedures; analyze established systems to improve overall operation and effectiveness.
    Evaluate the team structure and performance; provide effective management and leadership.
    Ensure key contract requirements and scope of services are understood by all projects.
    Work with peers, on overall project schedule, specifically the integration of engineering, sourcing, and construction to meet client commitments.


    Qualifications:
    Experience in Buried and Aerial Engineering OSP/FTTX for large scale projects is a requirement.


    The following are considered a plus: 3GIS experience, Micro-Trenching experience (Engineering or Construction), leadership role within a large EPC firm or General Contractor.

    Bachelors degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration. Professional Engineer preferred.
    Must have 8-10 years' experience in a senior leadership role managing report and diverse technical teams.
    Must have strong leadership and organizational development skills.
    Proven experience driving growth and profitability in a high pace, technical field.
    Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

    Willingness to work extended hours as needed, with 10% travel in the US.Ability to work successfully with ambiguous information and limited direction.

    Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:
