- Job Title:Protestant Chaplain
- Location: Andrews Psychiatric Center, Ogdensburg, NY
- Schedule: Full time (40hours week).
- Must possess bachelor's degree or master's degree in divinity or religious studies, or a religious degree from a seminary.
- Must meet the qualifications to be ordained as a clergy member in a recognized Protestant Church.
- Must possess two years' experience as a Chaplain.
- Coordinate the Pastoral Care Program at SLPC, schedule & coordinate services with other chaplain(s), and complete annual review and revision of the Pastoral Care Policy.
- Conduct three services weekly on a day mutually agreed upon between the facility and the contractor.
- One service at the adult inpatient building, which may include patients from the SLATC.
- One service at the Children & Youth Inpatient Program.
- One service at the Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) building.
- Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients and their families.
- Facilitate faith, spirituality, and related classes to patients in the adult inpatient, CY inpatient, & SOTP programs.
- Attend meetings, including treatment team meetings, as requested by the facility, department, or treatment team.
- Attend community events, as requested by the facility.
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions for patients.
- Provide any of the aforementioned services to the patients at SLATC, when requested and approved by the facility Business Office.
- Complete other related duties as requested by the facility.
