Cybersecurity Analyst - Microsoft Defender SpecialistPosition Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst with specialized expertise in Microsoft Defender to join our dynamic team.
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data by implementing and managing security measures, with a primary focus on Microsoft Defender.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Defender Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert on Microsoft Defender, staying current with the latest features, updates, and best practices.
Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Office 365 to enhance our organization's security posture.
Threat Detection and Response:
Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by Microsoft Defender, investigating and responding to potential threats promptly.
Collaborate with incident response teams to develop and execute action plans to mitigate security incidents effectively.
Policy Development and Enforcement:
Develop and implement security policies and configurations within Microsoft Defender to align with organizational security requirements.
Enforce security policies and standards, conducting regular assessments to ensure compliance.
Security Incident Handling:
Participate in the development of incident response procedures specific to Microsoft Defender.
Provide expertise during security incidents, contributing to the investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
Threat Intelligence Integration:
Integrate threat intelligence feeds into Microsoft Defender for proactive identification and prevention of emerging threats.
Collaborate with external security organizations to stay informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Security Awareness and Training:
Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training related to Microsoft Defender for end-users and IT staff.
Foster a culture of security consciousness within the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.2 years' experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, with a focus on Microsoft Defender.

Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals;
Microsoft Certified:
Defender Security Operations Analyst) are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and security architectureExperience with threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability managementExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
