    Job Description
    American Traveler is seeking a Director of Emergency Management with proven clinical leadership and a current CA RN license.

    Responsibilities
    Lead emergency and trauma services in a hospital setting
    Oversee 3 managers and approximately 170 FTEs in the Emergency Department
    Full-time exempt position with 5x8 hour day shifts and 24/7 departmental responsibility
    Weekend work only required as needed; no standard call or holiday shifts
    Responsible for strategic leadership, regulatory compliance, and fostering collaborative care in emergency services
    Oversight of budgeting, staffing, operational efficiency, and performance metrics
    Work closely with the ACNO and collaborate with other directors and managers
    Professional references preferred from recent leadership roles within the last 24 months
    Up to 5 days of requested time off may be considered
    NIH/NIHSS certification can be obtained during onboarding

    Requirements
    Active California RN license required at time of consideration
    Current AHA BLS certification and either CEN or CCRN certification required
    MSN or BSN with a Master's in Healthcare Administration required
    Minimum 36 months of overall nursing experience with at least 12 months in ED/trauma services
    Director level experience in an acute care facility required
    Employment history within the last 24 months must be provided
    Driver's License required for consideration
    Skills checklist specific to emergency, director, leadership, or supervisor roles required
