POSITION SUMMARY:
Work with the Manager of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and BuildingInformation Modeling (BIM) Systems to provide routine drafting and designsupport for Engineering and Architecture Department during the planning, design,and construction of various projects such as Airport terminal buildings andgates, commercial, offices, retails, airfields, roadways and utilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor'sdegree in CAD or GIS and five (5) years of CAD/GIS work experience for aconsulting firm, a construction company, a public agency, or an airportauthority involved with the design and construction of small and large scaleprojects, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and workexperience.
Knowledge of GIS and CAD, surveying, engineering practices, and mathematics
Knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices and techniques of computer drafting
Knowledge of simple trigonometry, especially as applied to the making of routine survey computations
Knowledge of level and transit survey equipment
Skill in the use of a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Office, CAD, GIS and various other office equipment
Ability to make technical computations
Ability to interpret field notes and to apply them in complex oral and written instructions
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
Ability to perform spatial analysis
Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations
Certificationin CAD and GIS or a specialty subject area that may benefit the Aviation Authorityis desirable
