    Job Summary

    As a Pharmacy Intern, you'll play a vital role in our team, bringing your skills to contribute to a service-oriented pharmacy at Giant Eagle. Your focus will be on building strong patient relationships, delivering safe and efficient care, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive positive outcomes for patients, Team Members, and the company.

    Job Description

    • Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
    • Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent with current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program
    • Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy; Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License
    • Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds

    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain inventory levels through online orders and physical inventories, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • Keep work environment clean and organized to meet company and regulatory standards
    • Handle written prescriptions daily and support Team Members for operational effectiveness
    • Review business metrics and collaborate on improvement strategies
    • Provide excellent patient care, processing orders, and addressing inquiries professionally
    • Handle sales transactions and medication dispensing following quality assurance guidelines
    • Adhere to all company and pharmacy policies and regulations
    • Update patient records, prescription details, and insurance information accurately
    • Support pharmacists with drug reviews, insurance claims, and medication refills
    • Assist in implementing company initiatives and programs
