As a Shipping Supervisor at Atlas Tube a division of Zekelman Industries Birmingham AL you will oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations within the plant This role ensures efficient material handling order fulfillment inventory management and shipping logistics while maintaining a safe organized and productive warehouse environment What You'll Do
Supervise train and coach warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production delivery goals Coordinate oversee timely loading unloading dispatching shipments ensure on-time customer delivery Monitor maintain accurate inventory levels including conducting cycle counts reconciling discrepancies Ensure proper storage staging movement materials finished products throughout the warehouse Enforce OSHA regulations company safety policies maintain safe working environment Identify implement process improvements increase efficiency reduce errors control costs Maintain accurate documentation reports related shipments inventory activities using ERP or warehouse management systems Collaborate production quality logistics teams support smooth operations customer satisfaction Oversee safe operation maintenance forklifts cranes other material-handling equipment Who You Are
3+ years experience warehousing shipping manufacturing heavy industrial environments preferably steel pipe/tube manufacturing Experience team leadership roles Working knowledge warehousing operations inventory control logistics processes Experience ERP or WHS usage Strong understanding OSHA regulations warehousing safety best practices Proven problem-solving skills sound decisions fast-paced environment Strong verbal written communication coordination across teams Physical Abilities Job description
