    The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) shall administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in order to enhance the evaluation of physiologic processes at a molecular level.

    The NMT is responsible for providing comprehensive care to the patient requiring medical imaging services in an organized and systematic manner according to department policy and standards.

    . Performs routine and special nuclear medicine procedures.
    Checks technical quality of data; Enters exam data on forms/computer screens as required by protocols.

    Performs daily, weekly, and monthly quality control procedures on pharmacy and imaging equipment per State Radioactive License and department protocol.

    Participates in on call rotation as assigned.
    Responds to the following hospital codes: Code Red (in the immediate area). Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from A.M.A.

    Current certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration as a Radiologic Technologist-Nuclear Medicine documented experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

    Current Maryland Licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or eligibility.
    He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the necessary care as described in the department's policies and procedures
