    Role Overview:

    Join our team at the Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility and be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of staff and incarcerated individuals. Your duties will include monitoring areas, managing individuals, and escorting them to various locations across the facility.

    Salary: This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $22, equating to an annual salary of $49,049. Correctional Officers work 7 total shifts in a 2-week period.

    A Day in the Life:

    • Monitor areas for security and inmate count
    • Ensure compliance with security procedures
    • Manage incarcerated individuals in work details
    • Escort individuals within the facility
    • Maintain records on individual activities
    • Conduct searches for unauthorized items

    What You'll Need for Success:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Willingness to travel with reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to work with offenders
    • Effective communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking abilities
