    Job Description:

    Snelling has an immediate opening for aControllerin Lexington, KY. This position will be responsible for playing a key role in overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and financial management. TheControllershould be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Job duties include:
    • Manage all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the company.
    • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.
    • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions as needed.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to track project costs, budgets, and profitability.
    • Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
    • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management to drive business growth and profitability.
    Controller Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
    • Previous experience in the construction industry highly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
