ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for the management of the flow of resources between the point of origin and the point of destination in order to meet some requirements. Candidate is expected to be involved in the integration of information flow, material handling, production, packaging, inventory, transportation, warehousing, and often security. Candidate will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Manage an accurate inventory of warehouse materials
• Daily accountability of warehouse material
• Quarterly inventory of warehouse material
• Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments
• Recruit and train of warehouse personnel
• Ensure materials are delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients criteria
• Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs
• Negotiate rates with carriers
• Maintain customer service logs and safety records

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Demonstrated understanding of consumer goods industry
• Able to manage time effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software
• Ability to pass drug test and general background check

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree, preferred in Business Administration
• Must have Secret security clearance.
• 2 years field logistics experience
• In lieu of a Bachelors degree, candidate must have;

1. An associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
2. A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
3. 11 years of recent specialized experience.
