    The Data Steward Team exists to maintain accurate, actionable, and non-duplicative account data, that accurately reflects corporate hierarchies and key data points in Salesforce for both Clients & Prospects and enables Sales to better manage their Clients or target their Prospects.

    This is achieved by both validating all new Accounts added to SFDC (initially), and on-going maintenance of existing Account data via quarterly & ad-hoc updates.

    This role requires subject matter experts on key account data, including interpreting key data points based on Global Rules of Engagement and understanding and enforcing all rules around updating Account data and Account movement across reps or teams.


    In this role you will:
    + Lead global and regional teams in Salesforce data governance best practices + Manage and disposition inbound and escalation validation requests + Report on validation KPIs and performance against published SLAs + Generate & Validate new accounts in CRM + Enrich & Expand Customer & Contact Data in CRM + Manage Data Quality (Data Cleanup & Deduplication in CRM) + Lead Data Steward role is responsible for ensuring all business units adhere to and maintain alignment to the Enterprise Data Governance Program + Define ownership and accountability of our critical data assets to ensure they are effectively managed and maintain integrity by Data Stewardships across Business Units. + Maintain accurate, actionable, and non-duplicative account data, that accurately reflects corporate hierarchies and key data points in Salesforce for both Clients & Prospects and enables Sales to better manage their Clients or target their Prospects. + Validate all new Accounts added to SFDC (initially), and on-going maintenance of existing Account data via quarterly & ad-hoc updates (once we have a trusted vendor). + Ensure that data within the CRM system is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. This involves performing regular data audits, identifying and correcting data errors, and monitoring data quality metrics. + Work with other departments within the organization to ensure that data from other systems (such as marketing automation tools, sales platforms, and customer service platforms) are properly integrated with the CRM system. + Being an Account data SME (Subject Matter Expert) validating key information on all new Accounts created - enriching as needed, preventing duplication, maintaining Account hierarchies, and supporting quarterly and ad-hoc updates of key account info via data enrichment. + Any account in Unvalidated status will allow for Opportunity creation but will not allow quoting. This illustrates the importance of timely turnaround to save time in having to merge duplicate accounts if not identified prior to rep creating contacts and opportunities. + Monitor SFDC queue for new incoming Accounts to validate + Maintain global SLA of 24 to 48-hour turnaround (excluding weekends and holidays) + Account data checks: Run dupe checker for accounts not enriched by Marketing, Review accounts where sales reps override the duplicate check.

    Merge accounts that are deemed duplicates if any data has been created in the dupe account Other:
    + Provide support to CRM system users, including training on data entry best practices and troubleshooting issues related to data quality or system performance. + Create reports and dashboards to provide insights into CRM data, such as customer behavior, sales performance, and marketing campaign effectiveness. + Lead or participate in projects related to the implementation of new CRM features or enhancements. + Identify data sets, develop data flows, understand data-related processes, and identify key data issues within business areas. + Establish and enforce policies and procedures for the proper management of CRM data, including defining data standards, data quality rules, and data access controls.

    You've got what it take if you have:
    + At least 2-3 years of Salesforce experience required + Advanced Excel skills required + Working experience as a technical data steward + Strong knowledge of Data Governance & Quality - policies, processes, and tools + Strong understanding and experience of standard industry terms/nomenclature and corporate hierarchies and structures + Must be very detail oriented, well organized, and have the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and respond quickly to a variety of business demands + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal + Persistent in finding accurate information leveraging any tools available to you + Focused on consistency and thoroughness in everything you do with a strong attention to detail + 2-3 years of experience working with data in a detail-oriented field preferred Equal Employment Opportunity has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental commitment at Cornerstone OnDemand.
