    • This position is open only to DH and VA employees seeking Epic AccessJob Summary:This is a full-time hourly position for a professional research assistant to work in the Rasouli laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Manager/ PI, the primary responsibility of the Professional Research Assistant is to serve as the clinical research coordinator in support of various research activities within Dr. Neda Rasouli's Research Program. This is a position requiring interest in medical research, the ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a high-intensity research environment involving multiple NIH and industry-sponsored pharmaceutical research studies.
    The duties and scope of the work will evolve with the position but will involve the following key responsibilities:


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement study recruitment and enrollment procedures.
    • Implement current mechanisms identifying potential patients.
    • Maintain subject tracking database.
    • Educate patients and staff about the study.
    • Participate in study meetings and trainings as required.
    • Complete research documentation, utilizing medical records, lab guidelines, protocol information and other resources to accurately pre-screen potential participants.
    • Coordinate with the research and clinical teams to schedule subjects for research visits.
    • Track patient participation.
    • Attend health fairs and network with applicable organizations relating to the disease/disorder being studied.
    • Attend study-related meetings and conferences as required.

    Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in any field.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    Preferred

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in science or health related field.
    • Clinical research or related experience.
    • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).
    • Up to date on required immunizations or willingness to obtain upon hire.
    • Recent documentation of negative TB test or willingness to obtain upon hire.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
    • Outstanding customer service skills
    • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
    • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.
    • Ability to actively problem-solve, employing proactive, positive action steps.
    • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and Regulatory requirements for health care research.
    • An understanding of genetics and molecular genetics is required.
    • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills are necessary.
    • The individual must be reliable, pay attention to detail, and be able to multi-task efficiently.
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Highly organized, reliable, and able to work semi-autonomously; ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities; attention to detail.
    • Excellent computer skills, particularly with all software in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with the Internet and conducting Internet searches.

    Anticipated Pay Range:
    This is an hourly position at $0.00. This position will be paid directly through the Denver Research Institute.


    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
