    Description

Aeris is at the forefront of the "Internet of Things" (IoT) industry, building networks and applications to enable Fortune 500 clients to fundamentally improve their businesses.

We believe IoT will have a profoundly positive impact on the world for generations to come.

The improvements made possible through IoT—improving patient care, preserving our natural resources, eliminating vehicle fatalities, and providing power to remote parts of the world—are just now being realized.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices around the world, Aeris is the preeminent cellular IoT player globally powering critical projects across energy, connected vehicles, transportation, retail, healthcare and more.

Our new Accounting Director will assume global responsibilities for our accounting function, along with relevant areas of financial statement preparation, accounting process and policy refinement, management reporting, and tax / transfer pricing disciplines.

Partnering with the Corporate Controller, CFO, and other leaders within the CFO Office, this new leader will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals as we charge forward into our next phase of growth and value creation.

    Responsibilities

The Accounting Director will build on a solid base of internal and external financial professionals in the establishment of a world-class global accounting function.

This new level of complexity and an accelerated pace of change creates an excellent opportunity for the right leader to make a substantial impact.

If the following attributes match your profile, we would love to speak with you about the opportunity:

You develop teams and have the ability to think strategically about organizational growth while also recruiting and retaining top talent within the organization
You have deep technical accounting skills coupled with the ability to translate to and from business stakeholders in support of continuity and relevance of financial statement preparation
You're not afraid or reluctant to roll up your sleeves and work, but you also recognize the need to teach, train and delegate
    Requirements
    Excellent critical thinking and analysis
Interest in and aptitude for a wide range of technology disciplines
Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Active CPA license
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Big-4 or other large, multi-national firm
Broad experience with private and public company financial statement preparation
Depth of experience in business process engineering, process automation, and internal controls
This is a full-time on-site position at the Chicago office.
Aeris walks the walk on diversity.

We are a brilliant mix of varying ethnicities, backgrounds, religions, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages and professional/personal/military experiences – and that's by design.

Different perspectives are essential to our culture, innovative process and competitive edge. Aeris is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
