AIM is looking for you We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 10+ years of professional construction engineering experience to join our Florida CEI Division.


    This position oversees and manages a team performing Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services on the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other agencies' construction projects.

    Experience with FDOT policies and procedures is preferred.

    This position's preferred location is in our Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville offices.


    Objectives of this Role:
    Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
    Responsible for reviewing and sealing projects, certifying that they meet and substantially comply with the contract and specification requirements.
    Supervise the work of other engineers, specialists, and field inspectors.
    Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods.
    Analyze Contractor Claims.
    Responsible for overseeing invoicing, managing, and monitoring the financial performance of project budgets using PM dashboard access.
    Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members.
    Coordinate with clients, agencies, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
    Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
    May write and negotiate proposals as project issues arise with clients or reviewing agencies.
    Assist with marketing strategies for the Team.
    Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications
    Must have ten (10) years of engineering experience with five (5) in major road or bridge construction
    Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
    Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
    Strong technical writing and communication skills
    FDOT Advanced MOT
    CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)
    Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course
    Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week (Salary)
