Responsibilities:
Planning, setting up, documenting and maintaining network systems (LAN / WAN / VPN / MPLS / SD-WAN)
Configuration of network devices such as switches, routers, security gateways and VPN gateways
Detect and resolve network and connectivity issues, including troubleshooting firewall policy sets, routing and switching
Monitor network activity, detect errors and troubleshoot connection problems
Assist in implementing network security measures
Administration, optimization and support of existing system environments

Skills/Must have:
At least 5 years of practical experience in the IT industry
Completed training in IT or comparable qualification
Deep understanding of network topologies, network architectures, network security and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
Expertise in administration and configuration of network devices
Practical experience in dealing with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian)
Experience troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance
Experience with firewalls (Fortigate, Sophos, Checkpoint etc.)
Planning and implementation of firewall systems
Fluent language skills in German and good knowledge of English
Enjoy teamwork (communication, building up know-how and passing it on within the team)
