Job DescriptionEducation and Experience Qualifications
This individual must meet all of the following requirements:
-Must have a master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in clinical social work or another human services field.
-Must be either a state-licensed counselor, therapist, clinical social worker, or licensed independent social worker.
-Must have at least three years of documented full-time work experience providing treatment services for children with emotional disorders. Experience in treatment services must include providing counseling and/or therapy to children and adolescents, completing intake assessments, creating and monitoring treatment and/or services plans, and creating discharge plans. At least one year must be in a residential setting.
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Must pass all background checks to include SACWIS checks, AP search, Sex offender checks.
Job duties and Responsibilities
This person will develop, conduct, and approve assessments and individual service plans for each child. The Licensed Clinical Staff is also responsible for/to:
-Provide direction and overall clinical supervision of the treatment program, including clinical responsibility for the management of the operation's therapeutic interventions.
-Be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week as appropriate to meet the needs of the children in care; the licensed clinical staff shall be accessible on-site or face-to-face via interactive videoconferencing based on the youth's clinical needs.
-Provide treatment services, including counseling and/or therapy to the residents.
-Review a child's diagnosis(-es).
-Review needs identified and plan for treatment based on a child's diagnosis(-es).
-Review the techniques, strategies, and therapeutic interventions that are planned for children to improve adaptive functioning.
-Remain in compliance with state professional credentialing for their individual license or certification.
-Complete initial needs assessments and reviews of each child's diagnosis and treatment needs.
-Ensure the implementation and documentation of treatment needs is met for each child according to needs assessments and service plan, when applicable.
-Ensure all doctor's orders are being followed by direct-care staff, including those for medication management prescribed by a psychiatrist.
-Admissions and departures.
-Service planning, updating, and monitoring.
-Discharge planning.
-Quarterly progress reports.
-Maintain rapport with other treatment providers (including medical) of each child concerning their care.
-Work with the Program Director in the admission, discharge, and service planning of children; and assist the Program Director with hiring, training, and supervising of direct-care staff.
Rate of Pay: Pay is $37.50 per hour. Minimum 10 hours per week. Pay is Biweekly.
