Job summary
The Deputy General Counsel for the Contracts/Corporate Counseling unit is responsible for supervising the preparation and/or review of all contract and procurement matters for the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), handling all intergovernmental relationships and agreements related to contracts and commercial law matters.The responsibilities also include counseling and advising senior management on legal matters that impact business decisions, providing corporate counseling and guidance on corporate governance, the Open Meetings Act, municipal corporate law, Illinois Housing Authorities Act, governance under HUD/federal procurement regulations.
