    RUNNER / BUSPERSON | RESTAURANT SUPPORT ENTHUSIAST


    Position Summary:

    To ensure guests are seated at a clean and properly set table.


    Essential Functions:


    • Maintains cleanliness of restroom, restaurant and side service areas.
    • Sets up the bus stand, restocks and prepares bus stand for shift change and/or close.
    • Properly complete all involvement with the guests, i.e. bread service, water service within the time limits as specified by outlet standards.
    • Checks high chairs and booster seats for cleanliness.
    • Empties trash and spot sweeps the restaurant and bar floor.
    • Prepares coffee and iced tea during shift.
    • Offer assistance to guests by clearing away dishes and glassware, and refills beverages.
    • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
    • Remove dishes from side service areas and place in the dishwasher area.
    • Responsible for separating linen from bus pans and trays and placing in linen bag.
    • Responsible for initial clearing of the places i.e. removes leftovers by dumping food items in the trash.
    • Rearranges tables for special or large parties.
    • Assist server with serving food or garnishing plates as required.
    • Assist server with preparation of orders and or delivery of orders as required.
    • Vacuums the carpet, mops the floor, cleans the walls, cabinets and food storage areas in the restaurant.
    • Maintains ice caddies in the service areas.

    Additional Responsibilities:


    • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
    • The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

    Skills and Abilities:


    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    • Ability to frequently bend and stoop.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
