    Job Summary:

    The Plant HR Generalist position at our manufacturing facility in Buffalo Grove, IL, reports to the Director of HR for the Midwest Region. In this role, you will oversee various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, compliance, and workplace safety to ensure a harmonious and productive work environment.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Staffing
    • Manage the recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding new employees, in collaboration with department managers.
    • Align staffing needs with job requirements to support business operations.
    Employee Relations
    • Address employee concerns and mediate conflicts to maintain a positive workplace environment.
    • Promote open communication and mutual respect among team members.
    Training and Development
    • Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Ensure all employees undergo necessary safety and compliance training.
    Performance Management
    • Support performance reviews and assist supervisors and employees in performance improvement plans.
    • Guide the development and implementation of performance enhancement strategies.
    Compliance
    • Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and regulations at all levels.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
    Health and Safety
    • Support health and safety initiatives to promote a safe work environment.
    • Coordinate Workers' Compensation activities and identify workplace hazards.
    HR Policies and Procedures
    • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
    • Offer guidance to employees and managers on HR matters and policy interpretation.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail in managing records and compliance issues.
    • Empathy and integrity in addressing employee needs and concerns.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Prior HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Familiarity with HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
    • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
