    Executive Summary of Position:

    The Loan Closer/Funder is responsible for the closing and funding of Business Purpose real estate loans. The role requires closing document preparation and settlement coordination for real estate loans. Your responsibilities include completing checklists to ensure all requirements are completed, ensuring all settlement fees are accurately charged & accounted to ensure an accurate loan closing. You will lead the Borrowers closing experience and ensure they experience a professional, timely, and properly planned Closing. You will coordinate with all parties to ensure all final closing documents are received & accurate, properly calculate & request wires, and thoroughly review all security instruments/closing documents to ensure they are complete, properly executed and/or notarized, and retained for collateral management & loan delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key member of our team and to play an important role in the development of our systems, process, and policies at this very important stage our company's development.

    Essential Duties:
    • Prepare & deliver all required loan documents to Closing Agents, once executed review loan documents for accuracy, completion, and compliance.
    • Prepare and generate closing packages ensuring all required information is accurate and all necessary documents are included.
    • Ensure all Closing loan documents are delivered timely to Closing Agents, ensure the Borrower's experience meets or exceeds Lender service expectations; once documents are executed, identify any missing, expired, incomplete documents or closing requirements, and address with appropriate departments to resolve prior to releasing funds.
    • Ensure loan documents meets all company, state, and federal requirements & regulations prior to releasing funds.
    • Complete Closing & Funding tasks & requirements in the LOS & Closing systems.
    • Remain current on funding guidelines and compliance requirements
    • Effectively coordinate, communicate, and set proper expectations with all parties taking part in the loan closing
    • Utilize time management skills to stay on track with multiple loan closings at various stages of the funding process
    • Works collaboratively to meet company goals for funding productivity & closing excellence.
    • Identify and report any suspected misrepresentation or fraudulent activity occurring on any transaction by providing all documents & supporting details to Management immediately.
    Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of preparing loans documents, setting-up settlements, coordinating closings, and reviewing executed loan documents.
    • Strong knowledge of wet/dry state closing requirements
    • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending unding guidelines and procedures
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
    • Proficient with mortgage lending software, and MS Office.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Good multitasking abilities with outstanding time management skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Open to learning new technology systems and a paperless environment.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment; and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
    • Must take initiative and focus on achievement of position & company objectives.
