- Develop and implement a dual language curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Teach core subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts in both English and Spanish.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable using both languages.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate students' language proficiency levels.
- Incorporate culturally relevant content and perspectives into instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Assess student progress in both languages and provide appropriate feedback.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians in English and Spanish regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Valid Illinois teaching certification with an endorsement in Bilingual Education or ESL.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (oral and written).
- Previous experience teaching in a dual language program preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bilingual education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
