    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Provides technical Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support and information
    • Prepares written EHS programs and policies
    • Identifies company EHS training needs and develops and coordinates training programs
    • Develops annual company EHS goals and associated metrics to monitor performance
    • Maintains corporate EHS library (e.g., sharedrive, records, videos, regulations, reference manuals)
    • Promotes EHS awareness through internal company memoranda, newsletters, scorecard, and specific training programs
    • Participates in company EHS action committee. Reviews meeting minutes and inspection reports and follows up as necessary
    • Understands federal and state EHS regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur
    • Audits practices and records to ensure compliance with company programs and federal/state EHS regulations
    • Monitors lost-time injuries/illnesses and worker's compensation claims. Reviews injury/illness and noninjury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary to ensure corrective action/preventative actions are completed
    • Direct accident investigation programs, develop accident trends, and develop programs for improving performance.

    Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:

    • In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines and practices
    • Experience in reporting and developing policies
    • Experience in implementing OSHA training programs
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Previous work experience in a Safety leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Well versed in the industry's requirements and regulations that protect the health and safety of workers.
    • Experience working with regulatory agencies.
