    MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (shift)
    Job Summary:
    Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. This is a rotating shift position (12 hour shifts, 4 on/4 off, 4 weeks of days 7 am to 7 pm and 4 weeks of nights 7 pm to 7 am).
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
    • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
    • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
    • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
    • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
    • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
    • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
    • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions.
    • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or other required training.
    • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education and/or Experience:
    High school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in Industrial or Automotive repairs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Other Requirements:
    • Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays when needed
    • Is available to work Overtime hours
    • Able to be part of an ON-Call Rotation
    • Must have a good driving record / Valid Driver's License
    • Good Safety Record, No recordable accidents in the past 5 years
    • Must be able to work at heights up to and above 60 feet
