    Description
    The Sr. Design Engineer will lead design projects to research and design suppressors and suppressor parts. The Sr.

    Design Engineer uses knowledge of thermal and fluid dynamics, material properties, and machine design along with suppressor and firearm function to develop new products and make improvements to existing products.

    Additionally, the Sr. Design Engineer will play a key role in developing and managing component drawings and CAD model revisions.


    Essential Functions :
    Experience in product design including research, CAD design, and design for manufacturing.

    Solid knowledge and experience reading, interpreting, and developing high-precision mechanical drawingsThorough understanding of drawing control systems, including the execution of BOM and router changesPrepare suppressor and accessory designs based on project scope and deliverables.

    Maintain close knowledge of industry designs and trends in the suppressor market.
    Develop new product design concepts combined with research and testing data and analysis.


    Requirements:


    Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, or related field, required.- 7 years of design experience working with precision mechanical systems, preferably in the firearms industry required3-5 years of experience with solid CAD modeling software: Autodesk Inventor preferred.

    Experience taking a product from conception to a manufactured design.

    Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and precision metal machining methodsThorough understanding of ANSI GD&TAdvanced fluid dynamics and heat transfer knowledgeFirearms knowledge in weapons systems functionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace software applicationsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to recommend effective solutions.

    personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills.
    Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)Must be able to complete firearm and suppressor live fire testing.
