    Job Title: YLM88I- Associate Director, Advocacy and Recruitment- Patient & Physician Services

    Brief Description : The Associate Director of Advocacy and Recruitment plays a pivotal role in executing UBC's efforts to develop patient recruitment strategies and lead advocacy outreach efforts. This position will sustain partnerships with patient advocacy groups to promote and raise awareness of UBC's global clinical trial studies and registry programs. This position requires a deep understanding of the patient journey from pre-diagnosis to post-treatment.

    Specific job duties:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit patients for clinical trials and registry programs
  • Establish and nurture relationships with advocacy outreach organizations, patient support groups, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of patient journey mapping to visualize and understand the various touchpoints and challenges faced by patients.
  • Implement real-world evidence (RWE) in clinical trial and registry studies by integrating data and insights derived from real-world settings.
  • Raise awareness of UBC programs and foster collaboration with advocacy groups.
  • Facilitate the development of patient, caregiver, and care partner advocacy outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand patient needs, challenges, and preferences throughout the healthcare journey.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting patient rights and healthcare access.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and advocacy efforts through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on patient-centered initiatives and programs.
  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert for disease state and the patient experience across therapeutic areas.
  • Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in patient recruitment and working with advocacy organizations (patient engagement and communication with advocacy groups, and/or non-profits)
  • In-depth understanding of the patient journey, including the emotional, psychological, and logistical challenges faced by patients and their families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations
  • Proficiency in developing and executing patient recruitment and advocacy strategies
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive evidence-based recruitment and advocacy initiatives
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including: client meetings, investigator meetings, trade shows, etc.
