    ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.

    Opportunity:

    Registered Nurse - PCU

    Job Details:


    • Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted

    • Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics

    • Patient ratio of 1:4-5 (note: high staffing ratio unit)

    • Mixed MS/Tele and intermediate patients including neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical cases

    • Assignments may include all PCU, all MS/Tele, or a mix depending on patient acuity and staffing

    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

    • Must be proficient in titrating cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring

    • Work with Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication

    • Navy blue scrubs required

    • Every other weekend schedule unless specified elsewhere

    • Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed

    • No call requirements

    • Holiday work required: work one holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two of three if three fall during assignment

    • Maximum 7 days RTO with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)

    • Full compliance required to start on time

    • Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, neuro stepdown care, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy care

    Facility:

    This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed stepdown unit that serves as an intermediate care environment for patients requiring higher acuity care than medical-surgical but less intensive than ICU. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams. The unit specializes in caring for a mixed population of medical/surgical and stroke patients, maintaining modern equipment and systems to support complex patient care needs.

    Adex Job ID # Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
