Responsibilities:

What you'll be challenged to do:

Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC, now a division of TranSystems, is excited to announce we are actively searching for a Traffic Project Engineer to join our award-winning team in our Lexington, Virginia office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Organizing traffic data collection;
Conducting morning and evening peak period field observations of traffic operations;
Conducting capacity analyses with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic and other methodologies;
Preparing reports and plans;
Helping prepare traffic control devices and maintenance of traffic plans;
Performing quantity take-offs;
Being flexible and working with numerous project members to help in project completion.

Qualifications:

What you bring to our firm:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school;
3-8 years of experience in Highway Engineering;
Experience in MS Office;
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What wed prefer for you to bring to our firm:

HCS and Synchro/SimTraffic experience preferred.
