    As a Plumber with S.I. Goldman Company, your essential responsibilities are to:

    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, and installation of plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Perform take-offs from drawings, blueprints, and specifications prior to the installation and layout of plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Install pipe, fittings, valves, system components, pipe supports, carriers, and fixtures according to blueprints, drawings, specifications, and local codes in underground, above ground and finished applications.
    • Teach Plumbing Helpers about best installation practices, proper use of tools, reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications and teach codes pertaining to tasks, while performing daily tasks.

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of five (5) years of field experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues efficiently.
    • Knowledge of local plumbing codes, and the ability to research a code question.
    • Knowledge of basic geometry as well as addition and subtraction of fractions for measurement and dimensional purposes.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
    • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of all hand and power tools.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
