- Collaborate with the team to accurately input new properties in property tax management software and maintain changes monthly.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals and reconcile various allocation, liability and expense accounts.
- Analyze monthly balances of property tax accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly variance analyses for management reporting.
- Verify tax amounts on pre-close escrow statements and monitor properties to request payment or issue funds if re-proration is necessary.
- Communicate with other departments and tax jurisdictions to find solutions to problems.
- Support and cross train with others in the department.
- Review processes for efficiency and improvement and assist in implementation and documentation.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed.
