Manages and oversees the day-to-day residential operations of assigned campus building or group home.
Manages all employee functions of on the job training, coaching and mentoring, performance appraisals, and performance management functions.
Manages the on-boarding new staff to appropriately acclimate staff to Damar expectations around client care, service excellence, active supervision and the like while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Completes outing sheets and off-ground checklist and ensure clients are safe to go for an off-ground outing.
Remains up to date on treatment best practices to ensure to proactively meet client demands.
Acts as a liaison and consistently communicates with families, professionals, guardians and referring agencies to provide best outcomes for clients.
Ensures that these communications are recorded in a timely manner.:
What you need to be considered...
One to three years of people management experience preferred.
Must be able to verify one of the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED combined with four years of full-time experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population.
Bachelors Degree combined with one year of full-time experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population (preferred).
Associate degree or 48 completed credit hours combined with two years of full-time experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/ID population (preferred).
Valid Indiana drivers license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damars insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Physical :
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
