    The Tek is a local MSP / MSSP that provides Cyber Security services and Managed I.T. support to small and medium companies since 2002. We are conveniently located off Capital Blvd and Wade Avenue.

    We are looking to add a level 2 I.T. Technician to our team. Primary roles will include providing I.T. Support requests through our helpdesk, I.T. Installation of Servers, Desktops, Switches, Wireless Access Points, SD WAN and Firewalls. Must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as needed.This Technician will be working directly with our clients so strong social and communication skills are a must.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

    • Provide day to day support for level 2 support requests from our customers.
    • Maintain, monitor, analyze system components to offer recommendations on system security, network, and computer utilization.
    • Assist in Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning and Testing.
    • Plan and perform appropriate policy & procedures, documentation, and inventory assessment.
    • Propose and install new software releases, system upgrades and security patches.
    • Work in conjunction with and under direction of level 2/3 Tech's.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 6-7 Years of Help Desk Experience.
    • Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
    • Office 365 Deployment and Configuration
    • Networking and troubleshooting skills.
    • Microsoft Active Directory knowledge and understanding.
    • Microsoft Windows OS knowledge and understanding.
    • VMware and Windows Hyper-V knowledge.
    • Knowledge and Understanding of basic backup technologies.
    • Be able to create and maintain internal and client facing documentation.
    • Firewall, SD WAN, WiFi setup / configuration.

    Additional skills that are a plus include:

    • Cyber Security
    • Advanced VMWare and Windows Hyper-V.
    • VOIP

    Additional certifications: A+, CCNA, Security+, and other related certifications are a plus
