    Position Summary:
    We're looking for an experienced Zeiss

    CMM Programmer

    who will use Calypso software.

    Candidates must have experience using Zeiss machines and demonstrate expert understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5.

    They will also demonstrate expert level blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills and the ability to program Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners (CMM).

    This individual may be expected to provide leadership and assistance to lower level inspectors, train others how to use the CMM machine and provide input on creating new inspection processes.

    Typically requires 5+ years of experience.


    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
    Develop CMM programs from parts and drawings

    Create mechanical inspection processes and procedures.

    Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction

    Proper management of PPE is required including:

    Use of the type of PPE required for the particular work task(s).

    Proper disposal of used PPE to work center containers.

    Proper transfer of work center containers to the correct Hazardous Waste Storage location.

    Oversee daily CMM functions


    Define, establish, and implement the CMM program to ensure Company personnel are using the CMM properly to meet internal and customer requirements.

    Train shop personnel on the proper care and use of the CMM and tools.

    Perform internal audits.

    Assist the Quality Inspectors as needed

    Manage and ensure CMM readings are accurate.

    Continuously seek to improve efficiencies with the CMM machine.

    Other duties as assigned


    Required Skills:
    Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability

    CMM programming using Calypso software

    Advanced competencies in mechanical inspection techniques

    Ability to create diagrams and work instruction from inspection processes

    Computer proficiency in required software (MS Suite, CATIA, Solidworks, AutoCad, etc.)

    Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of management

    Able to work productively and independently

    Experience & Education

    GED or High School diploma

    3+ years of CMM programming

    Completed Calypso software training
