    Exciting Locum Physician Opportunity in Gastroenterology Mechanicsville, VA

    Required Skills:
    Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology
    Proficiency in procedures including Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and Liver Biopsy
    Experience interpreting esophageal manometry and managing complex GI cases
    Ability to work independently in a hospital call setting
    Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic
    Prior experience in outpatient GI and hospital-based practice
    Familiarity with managing Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes and performing foreign body removal procedures


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
    Completed fellowship in Gastroenterology
    At least 2 years of post-training clinical experience
    Licensure in Virginia or eligibility for licensure


    Other Requirements:
    Availability to start on February 7, 2026
    Willingness to cover 24-hour call shifts, including holidays
    Travel expenses will be reimbursed, with lodging capped at $150 per night
    Credentialing estimated to be completed within 90 days


    Pay Rate:
    $19.50 per hour
