    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Business Systems Analyst and Developer fills a key role to develop and improve business processes, workflows, and software systems enterprise wide while planning successful process implementation strategies.

    This position collaborates in innovation of technology-based solutions and cross-platform communication while building training documentation to ensure Team success.

    The Business Systems Analyst and Developer will leverage software tools, data sources and understanding of processes to solve complex use cases and build our Cooper Steel Team the tools they need for continued growth and success.

    The ideal candidate is a tech-minded guru with a technical background in business process improvement and implementation. Experience with database management systems, API integrations and/or data visualization tools is a plus.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop a deep understanding of process workflows and data structures while helping identify use cases for Technology projects.
    • Identify use cases, translate business requirements, design, build and connect Quickbase, PowerApps or similar platform to solve process cases and streamline workflows
    • Clearly document application design, functionality, maintenance, training materials and SOP's to effectively educate users.
    • Develop custom forms, reports dashboards and integrations.
    • Communicate and build rapport to elicit use cases and enhancement requests from end users.
    • Develop familiarity with software and hardware utilized and supported by the organization.
    • Facilitate data connections across QuickBase with other internal systems and workflows.
    • Report, identify, and help solve bug fixes.
    • Maintain and improve existing applications.
    • Utilize formulas, workflows, scripts and APIs to automate processes and enhance application functionality.
    • Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company maintaining Cooper Steel's core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
    • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    4-year college degree in related field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering) or relevant experience
    2+ years of cumulative experience in Quickbase development and implementation
    Strong knowledge of Quickbase features, functionalities, and best practices
    Experience in integration with or utilizing Microsoft Power BI
    Proficient in database concepts and data modeling
    Experience in technology roles, database management or other relevant experience is preferred

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    The position is in an office setting. The office setting involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. However, there may be work required in the field that will change the work environment to include jobsite conditions.


    These include the following conditions:
    varying terrain, weather conditions, use of personal protective equipment, machine/equipment use, climbing, lifting.
