    Title: Director, RCG Health Operations, Strategy and Program Management

    Reports To: Vice President, Medical Administration and Operations

    Summary

    RCG Health Director of Operations, Strategy and Program Management works closely with other RCG Health's senior leaders and with internal colleagues in various departments (shoreside and shipboard) on many aspects related to RCH Health's projects and mission. Proactively strategizes, manages, plans, and drives activities of strategic, technical, capital or operational improvements to ensure best practices and optimization and budget. Functions as an in-house process driver, consultant, and coach of matrixed operating department representatives intimately involved in these project types. Work is typically top priority, high profile, and many times multi-departmental initiatives and thus require continuous communication and interaction, in a fast-paced environment, with senior leaders and executives across all of RCG. In addition, manages all aspects of project planning, tracking, and status reporting through direct reports in the RCG project management team. Independently maintains relationships with key customers, primarily Directors, Vice Presidents, and company Officers. Must have the ability to follow an existing structured process or framework yet have the skills to innovate. Oversees the following essential tasks through direct management, subordinates, or matrixed resources.

    NOTE: This is a full-time in-person role based in the company's headquarters in Miami, FL. Applicants must be available to work in Miami, FL Monday - Thursday, with work from home on Friday.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Lead, mentor, and provide overall direction to a small team, consisting of analysts, coordinators, and specialists that are responsible for the day-to-day administrative and reporting details of assigned projects.
    • Utilizes project management tools and industrial engineering techniques to lead, develop and oversee the maintenance of project scope, customer, and executive expectations as well as overall project focus.
    • Leads, coaches, and advises the recommended course of action to the project team in outlining goals, objectives, milestones, responsibilities, scope, risks and tracking routines.
    • Manages and participates in the study of operational needs and current operational performance to determine optimal working procedures and systems, and to identify areas for improvement and efficiency on assigned projects.
    • Proactively interfaces with constituent representatives for the purpose of examining project status and monitoring progress. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel, modifies schedules or plans as required.
    • Organizes the communication of the project plan status on a regular basis to project stakeholders, global partners, and core team. Continues to re-establish goals and adjust work processes based on shifting priorities and new information.
    • Follow-up with team members to meet project deadlines and provide input on team member activities for schedule review process. Coordinates activities to ensure project progresses on schedule, budget and accurately reflects current project status through regular updates of tasks and statuses.
    • Participates in succession planning, training, evaluation, and development for project team personnel.
    • Works with Financial Department to track the budget forecasts, cost controls and reporting.
    • Leads and organizes team in development of presentations for senior executives. Oversees preparation of project reports for management, client, or others.
    • This position will require travel to and from ships, shipyards, and/or vendor facilities located in Europe, Asia, and North America.
    • Remains current with industry trends, especially as related to contemporary project management techniques as they impact project objectives.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of existing medical operations and processes across all RCG ships.
    • Collaborate with medical staff, administrators, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on current processes and challenges.
    • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in patient experience and operational efficiency.
    • Develop and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols onboard and shoreside medical teams to ensure consistency and compliance with best operating practices.
    • Oversee the implementation and sustainability of all medical operations initiatives by providing ongoing support, monitoring progress, and addressing any challenges that arise.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance the overall quality of medical operations onboard and shoreside.
    • Facilitate strategic planning sessions and reviews with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and establish clear accountability for implementation and results.
    • Provide coaching and training to medical operations team on process improvement methodologies, problem solving, tools and techniques to empower them to identify opportunities for optimization and actively contribute and scale improvement efforts.
    • Establish scorecards and tracking mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for medical operations across the RCG fleet.
    • Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports to visualize performance metrics, track progress against targets.
    • Review KPIs with stakeholders to drive accountability, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making for continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Lead the implementation and seamless integration of the EMR system across both onboard and shoreside medical operations.
    • Assess existing workflows and create new ones that seamlessly integrate with the new EMR system to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Continuously support optimization of medical operations EMR workflows and help facilitate changes.
    • Lead Collaboration with New Build design teams to develop optimized medical facilities for new build.
    • Lead layout design and workflow planning, patient flow and space utilization to optimize operational performance and improve patient experience.
    • Drive implementation of best practices in medical facility design
    Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • 10 + years of experience specializing in process improvement within healthcare operations or a comparable role. Previous consulting experience is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience in process improvement, quality management, or operational excellence within the healthcare industry.
    • Expert knowledge in process improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma. (Black Belt certification, required).
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading a medium to large size team of professionals. Solid written and verbal communication skills a must. Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization essential.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
    • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities.
    • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, financial and spreadsheet modeling skills.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Smartsheet and knowledge of Electric Medical Records systems
    • Internal Candidates: Knowledge of CAR process: budget, approval, reconciliation, and reporting, AMOS, Clarity, Lotus Notes Database, JDE, and Essbase.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, business periodicals, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
    • Ability to clearly and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
    Financial Requirements:
    • Responsible for working with Finance team to create and manage overall project budgets with special focus Return on Investments and Total Costs of Ownership calculation.
    • Strategizes with the financial team on economic feasibility analysis for project options and alternatives.
    • Responsible for executing any optimization opportunities to manage expenses as directed by department executives.
