    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Assistant Clinical Director will assist the Director of Clinical Services in the translation and delivery of Arizona Rehab campus philosophy and objectives.

    The Assistant Clinical Director will act as a working manager when the Director of Clinical Services is out and provides group and individual therapy sessions, participation in team planning, discharge planning, case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services while overseeing day-to-day operations of staff and clients.

    The role will also assist in hiring, orienting, and assessing the effectiveness and competency of the therapeutic staff.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Education:
    Master's Degree in social work or substance abuse preferred.

    Active license with the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners:
    LMSW, LCSW, LASAC or LAC, LISAC Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in addiction and recovery preferred


    Licensure/Certification:
    LMSW, LCSW, LASAC, LAC or LISAC. Independently Licensed preferred. Level one fingerprint clearance card, CPR, Handle with Care, and TB within three (3) months of employment


    SKILLS:
    § Provide quality assessments and reports according to training and areas of expertise § Provide quality individual, group, marital, and family therapy according to training, specialties, and effectively manage time in clinical sessions § Facilitate productive therapy sessions and provide growth promoting experiences to clients § Develop initial rapport with clients § Define clear and meaningful treatment goals for clients § Facilitate therapeutic movement towards treatment goals at an appropriate pace § Demonstrate use of various and active interventions § Help develop and evaluate client-specific treatment plans § Demonstrates basic familiarity and knowledge of addiction and recovery § Demonstrates understanding of the clients' role in the family system and importance of family in the treatment process, when applicable. § Ensure treatment follows goals outlined in the treatment plan § Provide or arrange proper family therapy intervention § Develop and implement appropriate aftercare and discharge plans § Complete all discharge forms, contracts, and crisis prevention plans with the clients assigned to work with, and ensure that aftercare appointments are made prior to discharge. § Contact aftercare professionals/treatment facilities to provide client information that will aide in a smooth transition of care.
