    Quantitative Analyst - Energy Trading Risk Management

    Position Specific Description

    We are looking for a skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our quantitative analytics team focused on trading risk management. In this role, you will be involved in validating and optimizing quantitative models that evaluate risks inherent in energy and commodity markets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Construct, validate, and fine-tune advanced risk models across different risk segments
    • Translate algorithms into efficient Python codes
    • Perform valuation modeling for price verification of exotic products
    • Adapt risk models to evolving market conditions
    • Conduct scenario analyses and stress tests
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    • Mentor junior colleagues

    Qualifications:

    • 4+ years experience in quantitative analysis
    • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
    • Proficient programming skills in Python or SAS
    • Knowledge in stochastic modeling and Excel
    • Exposure to regulatory expectations in risk management
    • Experience in energy and commodity sector preferred

    Preferences:

    • Expertise in Python programming and distributed computing
    • Experience with Energy Trading Risk Management systems

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
    • 4+ years of experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business
    • Experience with JavaScript and risk analysis
