    Position: Finance Manager (40 Hours per Week/12 Months)

    The Opportunity:

    The role of the Finance Manager is to develop, implement, and maintain financial and data systems, paper and electronic, to insure efficiency and monitor accountability of all aspects of the business operations of the school, particularly in the following areas:

    • Budgeting/Finance: Develop budget according to programmatic priorities established by the principal including overall operating budget, Small Learning Communities budgets, and department and program-level budgets. Provide ongoing budget management. Produce internal budget reports and reconcile reports with CPS Financial Operations. Initiate budget adjustments and reporting corrections. Oversee and reconcile all CRLS accounts held at Cambridge Teachers Federal Credit Union.
    • Staffing: Administer staffing in accordance with the Personnel Budget and Position Control Office. Initiate postings and other documentation regarding staff changes. Coordinate all temporary employment opportunities including budgeting, posting, service agreements, and payment vouchers (for example: club advisors, teachers for afterschool programs (MCAS, SAT, homework centers, home tutoring), professional development facilitators, curriculum developers, outside consultants and trainers, others as needed).
    • Purchasing and Receiving: Keep all CRLS purchasing and receiving records. Ensure proper coding of all transactions.
    • Scholarship Program: Administer CRLS Scholarship Program including develop and maintain database, donor relations and manage funds.
    • MBTA Charlie Card Program: Manage budget and supervise all financial transactions related to CRLS student MBTA Charlie Card. Serve as Liaison and main contact between CRLS and the MBTA.
    • Other responsibilities: Primary contact person and CRLS liaison with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Position Control, Financial Operations, and Human Resources offices. Administer CRLS funding grants. Administer Harvard Extension School applications, scholarships, and registrations. Oversee equipment acquisition, leases, and maintenance. Coordinate or oversee other projects and duties as assigned.
    Your Skill Set:

    As the incoming Finance Manager, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
    • Strong analytical and business management skills;
    • Experience with management of systems and people;
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Ability to present information effectively proven experience implementing and/or using complex software for various purposes;
    • Management experience in budget, personnel, facilities management, and/or information systems;
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.
    • Five years related experience; experience in educational administration a plus.

    Terms of Employment:

    Full-time, 12 months per year. Non-union position.

    Salary: $92,308 - $105,590
