Aaron Manor is a 60 bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in beautiful Chester, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Director of Nursing to join our team

Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that provide instructions on "how to do the job," and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.

• Ensures that policies and procedures are followed for classification and reporting of reportable events.
• updating written policies and procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
• Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees as they may pertain to nursing services.
• Prepare nursing report for Medical Staff Meeting
• Ensure that medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident's wishes, including the implementation of advance directives.

Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

• Must have, as a minimum, 2 year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility, or other related health care facility and one year nursing service administration.

Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
